Antananarivo at the Heart of Regional Economic Momentum with the 2nd Edition of the CEO Summit Indian Ocean

Antananarivo is set to become a strategic hub for regional and international business leaders on April 9–10, 2026, as it hosts the second edition of the CEO Summit Indian Ocean. The event is steadily establishing itself as a key platform for economic dialogue, bringing together more than 650 participants from at least 18 countries, highlighting the growing interest in regional cooperation across the Indian Ocean.

Taking place in a rapidly evolving global economic environment, the summit aims to foster high-level exchanges among CEOs, investors, policymakers, and experts. Its core objective is to better understand ongoing transformations affecting markets, value chains, and growth models, while identifying concrete opportunities for collaboration and investment within the region.

Key discussions will focus on critical issues such as regional integration, sustainable development, growth financing, strategic infrastructure, economic sovereignty, as well as innovation and digital transformation. These themes reflect the pressing challenges faced by African and island economies striving to strengthen resilience and competitiveness in a shifting global landscape.

Two dedicated strategic clusters will play a central role during the summit. The Finance Cluster will explore new approaches to enhancing investor confidence and improving access to structured financing. Meanwhile, the Real Estate & Investment Cluster will highlight the importance of property development as a driver of territorial transformation and economic attractiveness. These sessions are expected to facilitate direct engagement with international experts and investors, opening the door to high-potential partnerships.

A major highlight of the event will be the CEO Summit Awards ceremony, which will recognize outstanding leaders and organizations that have significantly contributed to economic growth, innovation, and regional influence. Several categories are planned, including a special award dedicated to top-performing Malagasy actors.

Beyond discussions, this second edition reflects a broader ambition: positioning Madagascar as a regional economic hub while strengthening synergies among Indian Ocean economies. By bringing together public and private stakeholders, the CEO Summit aims to serve as a catalyst for investment, cooperation, and sustainable growth, potentially shaping the economic future of both Madagascar and the wider region.
